நான் யார்?: நாராயணன் (நாரா) தமிழ் தாய்மொழி. ஆங்கிலம் தந்தை மொழி. பேச்சில் கலப்பு இருக்கும் தற்போது நியூசிலாந்தில் (வென்மேக தேசத்தில்) வசிக்கிறேன். கடந்த 12 ஆண்டுகள் தொழில்நுட்ப ஆராய்ச்சியாளராக பகுதி நேர வேலை. மற்ற நேரங்களில் படிக்கும் பாடங்கள்: பண்டைய/புராதன வேதங்கள்; கணிதம் & வானியல்; இயற்பியல்; தத்துவம்; வரலாறு மற்றும் கலாச்சாரம் மற்றும் பல. பொறியியல் முதுகலை, சிங்கப்பூர் தேசிய பல்கலைக்கழகம், 1989. இளங்கலை தொழில்நுட்பம், சென்னை இந்திய தொழில்நுட்ப நிறுவனம் ( ஐஐடி), 1977. திருச்சியில் பிறந்து வளர்ந்தேன். 1977 இல் சென்னை ஐஐடி இல் பொறியியல் படித்த பிறகு, பெங்களூரில் உள்ள லார்சன் & டூப்ரோ லிமிடெட் நிறுவனத்தில் 8 ஆண்டுகள் பொறியாளராகப் பணியாற்றினேன். பின்னர் 12 ஆண்டுகள் சிங்கப்பூர் பல்கலைக்கழகத்திலும், அரசு நிறுவனத்திலும், ஆராய்ச்சியாளராக வேலை. பின்னர் 14 ஆண்டுகள், சிங்கப்பூர் CICC-JETRO நிறுவனத்தில் ஆலோசகர், பயிற்சியாளர், ஆராய்ச்சியாளராகப் பணியாற்றினேன்.

4. Auvaiyar presents powerful universally acceptable values in just one line ("சுருங்கச்சொல்லல் விளங்க வைத்தல்") There are many poetesses and chittars with the name Auvaiyar (ஓளவையார்). One of them lived during the Sangam period and was a close friend of the Kings, PAri and athikamAn (பாரி, அதிகமான்). The other Auvaiyar (ஓளவையார்) was a contemporary of Kampan and ottak KUtthar (ஒட்டக்கூத்தர்). Auvaiyar is known for Poetic qualities; Deep wisdom; Power of speech; Yogic powers; Courage; and direct to the point.

5. Thirukkural dated variously from 300 BCE to 5th century CE, has been written by Tiruvalluvar. Thirukural consists of three books, the first book on aram (the way or dharma), the second on porul (material or artha) and the third on inbam (joy or kama). There are 133 chapters in all, each chapter contains ten Kurals. Out of 1,330 Kurals, around 320 are selected and presented under 18 topics listed. Explanations or Meanings are given in Tamil and English, which can be of help to people who donot know Tamil or not comfortable with some Tamil words

6. Abhirami Pattar (Subramaniya Iyer) was a Hindu saint from Tamil Nadu. He is famed as the author of a collection of hymns called Abhirami Anthadhi.

7. PAAVAI hymns are imaginative, in the literary sense as they are vivid portraits of the lifestyle fo the aayarpadi's. The month of, Margasiram otherwise cherished as Maargazhi, is the tamil month of religious austerties and devotional singing. It corresponds to the december -january period culminating in the harvest festival of "Pongal". Tiruppaavai, sung by the legendary Andal - one of the twelve Alwars. Tiruvempaavai, sung by Saint Maanickavaacharkar, one of the sixty three Nayamars. The beautiful passages of VAranamAyiram (a Thousand elephants) are part of nAchiyAr thirumOzhi. Godai starts describing beautifully to her friend, the divine dream that she just had of her marriage with kaNNan.

8. Thirumurai is one of the comprehensive works on Saivism, considered as the Vedas. These holy hymns have been sung by Saivite Saints and poets, seeking the Truth (around 7th to 9th century AD). The songs reflect and teach the ways of present life, after-life and the path to reach the Almighty. First 9 thirumuRaikal sung by a total of 12 poets. These 12 thirumuRais are arranged in four catagories. The first 9 on praise. 10th on guidelines. 11th is assorted. 12th is history.

9. Prabandam (நாலாயிரத் திவ்வியப் பிரபந்தம்) is a collection of 4,000 Tamil verses by the 12 Alvars. It was compiled in its present form by Nathamuni during the 9th – 10th centuries. The works were lost before they were collected and organized in the form of an anthology by Nathamuni.
